I have always been a fan of the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level test. I used its analysis along with the Word grammar checker to determine the quantity of passive sentences, length of words and sentences used, and other trivia. When I worked at EchoMail, I mostly concentrated on passive sentences, which were considered poor sentence structure for marketing language.

So, finding this test was highly amusing to say the least. I find it amusing that my general writing is about 4 grade levels lower than almost anything I wrote for EMRI or other work functions in the past 7 years.

Average number of syllables per word:1.41

Another fun meme brought to you by rfreebern

[Edit: Apparently, the program analyzes the last entry made in your journal, because this entry, before the edit, was at a 9th grade reading level. I am still sufficiently entertained by this meme.]

According to this test, my journal checks in at Grade 5. I find that result...unusual.
