I love my job
Filing, shelving, dealing with lawyers, and people (yes, that does indeed imply that lawyers aren't people).

I went upstairs because some of the things I had to file were checked out by some of the lawyers, and was given glowing receptions by people who are grateful that I am doing something that directly benefits them. I am making sure that they are not out of date, helping them to win their cases by making sure the information they most frequently access is correct.

Not that it doesn't have its pitfalls. Apparently, the book is really out of date because someone (who wasn't supposed to be me afterall) hasn't been doing their filing. ^_^; We'll see how it goes.

Not really. She is only here for another month (I believe she leaves at the beginning of August), so I am just going to let my boss direct things and we'll see how it goes.

I mostly feel bad, because she obviously needs the type of talking to I got at one of my first jobs out of college. Essentially the "all work is important and think about what you are doing here - you are hurting yourself more than you are hurting us - have a more mindful work ethic" conversation. Honestly, it is the type of conversation I wish one of my coworkers at EchoJail had. She took 1.5 - 2 hr lunch breaks and had smoking/bathroom breaks that were at least 30 minutes long. *shrug* Intern will learn.
